The Cross County Health Unit in Wynne serves as a vital resource for public health services across Cross County, providing accessible, community-focused care to individuals and families. Located at 701 E. Julia Avenue, the Health Unit is dedicated to promoting wellness, preventing disease, and supporting healthier communities through a wide range of programs and services.
Under the leadership of Administrator Cecilia Coleman, the Health Unit offers essential services including immunizations, communicable disease investigation, environmental health inspections, WIC services, women’s health care, and testing and treatment for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. Additional support includes pregnancy testing, tuberculosis prevention and treatment, vital records, and public health preparedness.
The Health Unit also plays a key role in community outreach through tobacco cessation support, voter registration, and Hometown Health initiatives aimed at improving overall community well-being. Environmental services such as food safety, septic system oversight, and water testing further contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with extended hours on Tuesdays for general clinic services, ensuring residents have convenient access to care when they need it most.
