Cross County Hometown Health Coalition (CCHHC) brings together community leaders, organizations, schools, businesses, healthcare providers, parents, and youth to reduce the harms of alcohol and drug use through prevention, education, and collaboration.
The strength of CCHHC comes from the people around the table. By bringing together representatives from across the community, the coalition ensures prevention efforts reflect local needs, challenges, and opportunities.
The Drug-Free Communities program requires representation from 12 community sectors, including youth, parents, schools, healthcare, law enforcement, businesses, media, government, and community organizations. Together, these voices help guide prevention efforts throughout Cross County.
CCHHC works to reduce youth substance use by strengthening community partnerships, increasing prevention education, promoting healthy choices, and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
CrossRidge Hospital's Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant provides resources that help CCHHC expand prevention efforts, strengthen community collaboration, and reduce youth substance use through evidence-based strategies.
As the community coalition supporting CrossRidge Hospital's Drug-Free Communities grant, CCHHC serves as the foundation for prevention efforts in Cross County—ensuring local voices help shape programs, strategies, and solutions that make a difference.
The Youth for Health Project brings prevention directly to Cross County students through education, leadership opportunities, youth engagement, and drug-free activities. Through the DFC grant, CrossRidge Hospital and CCHHC work alongside local schools to support healthy choices and brighter futures.
Cross County School District and Wynne School District play a vital role in prevention efforts across our community. Through dedicated school outreach staff and strong partnerships, students gain access to programs, resources, and opportunities that encourage healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
Creating lasting change requires more than one organization. CCHHC brings together schools, families, healthcare providers, businesses, faith organizations, law enforcement, and youth to build a healthier Cross County.
When communities invest in prevention, everyone benefits. Through education, partnerships, and youth engagement, CCHHC is helping create safer schools, stronger families, and healthier futures for generations to come.
